Date Day!

Today Kaleb & I went on a date to celebrate his last day as an only child....tomorrow we 're going to rock his little world by adding a baby brother. I know they will be the best of friends (and the worst of enemies at times), but I wanted one more day with my first baby!

Kaleb came with me to my last DR appointment & got to hear brother's heart beat. We stopped at Starbuck's for a decaf coffee & chocolate chip cookie (what kid doesn't need a cookie at 9:45AM?!?!). Then we headed to the aquarium to watch the fish & play in the biggest "water table" around. He had a blast & so did I. We finished off our date with Jimmy John's sandwiches while watching Mickey Mouse (I know, does it get any better?!?!).

The best part for me was snuggling away before nap time! He let me snuggle away for a good 15 minutes before I laid Him down, he must have known his Mama needed it :) 

I had a ball with my boy.....

Major Milestone

Yesterday was a big day at the Letko house....after repeatedly saying "No!" every time we asked Kaleb if he wanted to go potty on the big potty he said "Yes!" 

I put him on the potty before dinner & while we had a ball reading books and chatting, no progress. I put him back on after dinner and....HE WENT POTTY!! 

I know this was just a baby step, but it was exciting :) We'll keep you posted, but I'm thinking this is going to be a long process....

We got really out of hand this year-- we went to a party & didn't get home until.... 8:15pm! Ha-- the times they are a changin'!

Either way, we had a fabulous time ringing in the new year with some of K's best buddies (and good friends of ours too).

Merry Christmas Marathon!

We had quite the Chrisymas celebration this year- 5 fun-filled days of eating, being with family & friends, eating, opening presents, eating, and- oh, did I mention eating?!?!

Kaleb was spoiled by all....train set, dancing Mickey, trampoline (kid-size), basketball hoop, fleece tie blanket, lots of cute clothes, & the list goes on!! What a lucky boy :)

When we got home from our Christmas marathon, Joe & Kaleb hit to come to the doctor with me. Our newest addition is doing wonderful & Kaleb hasn't stopped talking about "hearing " his little brother :) It's so sweet!!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

We are having a ball this Christmas season with Kaleb! All he talks about is the lights on the houses and Santa (thanks to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)!

A few weekends ago we wrapped up a "Christmas" box for my nephew, niece, and Kaleb open it for a night of fun! There were Christmas Jammie's, holiday socks, a snack, and the movie Prancer. The kids loved it & it was so fun watching them!!

Last week we headed to Superior's Family Resource Center & participated in all sorts of fun winter activities. Kaleb made a Rudolph hat & glued marshmallows together to make Frosty :) He had fun-- but he mostly wanted to join the "big boys" who we're practicing "baseball" (aka basketball) in the gym. We had to tear him away!

& our final Christmas activity was visiting Santa-- it was touch & go but he finally sat on the Big Guy's lap :) He had to watch LOTS of kids, be bribed with a candy cane, and promises of riding the rides (the little machines that move if you put quarters in)...but my brave boy finally hopped up on Santa's lap. My only good photo is a bit fuzzy, but I think it's priceless!

Seriously....

Could his smile have gotten any better than this?!?!
