Summer Fun....or Not!

Due to the heat wave we seem to be experiencing this summer, I recently purchased Kaleb a little pool to "swim" in. Being the considerate person that I am, I filled his little pool up early one morning with the thought that by late afternoon it would be "warm" and he could splish & splash & have a blast....

I got the little man all suited up after his nap, slathered him with sunscreen, collected lots of bath toys and hurried out to the pool for some fun. I set him in the water, so excited to watch him play (bath time has been his favorite time of day since birth)....and he did nothing but scream for about 10 minutes. I splished & splashed to no avail- it seems his love of water is only in the tub! Oh well, enjoy a few photos from our little misadventure!

This face says it all....GET ME OUT!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

MN PRIDE

I would like all of my fellow Minnesotans to know that although Joe forced (ok, maybe he didn't force me-- but I like to think I didn't cross over to the dark side willingly) me to live in Wisconsin, I'm trying my hardest to make sure Kaleb becomes a MN fan!

MN TWINS FAN

MN VIKINGS FAN....this one is going to be the hardest to enforce, so any help would be appreciated :)

Buddies!

This post is dedicated to having "buddies!" I am a very lucky girl and not only have I been lucky enough to remain pretty close with my girlfriends from elementary school and high school, but I have also made lots of great friends in my "new" hometown of Superior. Life is definitely a lot sweeter when you're surrounded by friends!! A few Fridays ago I was able to head back to my old college stomping grounds and meet up with a few of my favorite ladies. Thanks for a great GIRLS NITE OUT Amy, Brittney, Kim & Linds!!

Ok....sorry for wasting your time with my life, onto the important stuff ;)

I don't think I have to worry about Kaleb having friends due to the fact that almost all of my girlfriend's have also had babies within the last 1-2 years. So, whether or not our kids like it, they are going to be friends :). Last week I helped my friend Jill out and watched her son Sam while she played chauffer- I think I need to have Sam over more often. The boys kept each other entertained for over an hour!

This past weekend our house filled up with a visit from Meghan, Ryan, Brooklyn & Ruby. It was so great to have them here....now that we're a state away we don't get to see each other often enough. The kids became fast friends, the dogs wore each other out, and the adults had a great time as well. Of course I took pictures of the kids....

Brooklyn....I think the call is for me!

Kaleb & Brooklyn "cruisin!"

I think this visit was the beginning of a great friendship!!

Friends are the best...life would be so boring without them!!

10 Months Old!

Kaleb is 10 months old today!

It is hard to believe he has only been a part of our lives for ten months- because we don't even remember our lives without him. He is so fun right now, it seems like he does something new each day. As Joe & I were playing with him tonight we both got to see him take his FIRST STEP!! It was so cool that we were both here and both got to see it...it was a great moment!!

Along with all of the fun things he's doing, his little personality is blooming. He's a happy little guy...with the exception of a few TANTRUMS he's started throwing. When he doesn't get what he wants he'll cry and lay on the ground. I'm sure in time it'll get trying, but it's so darn cute right now!!

Busy Busy Boy

I think Kaleb may have a better social life than Joe or I....good thing he's so cute or I might not drive him to all of his "gatherings" ;)

We headed down to the Cities on Tuesday afternoon to visit lots and lots of people and to celebrate Auntie Anna's birthday!

Happy Birthday Auntie Anna!! Love, Kaleb

Besides the birthday celebration at Bon Fire, where my son flirted with lots and lots of ladies (I'm in trouble already), we were able to visit with many special people: Lindsey & Elise, Great-Grandma Joanie & Great-Grandpa Steve, Noah, Great-Grandma Dorothy, Chelsea, Annika, & Makayla! And of course, spend quality time with Grammy, Grampy & Uncle Joel :)

Enjoy some photo's from our little adventure...

He didn't understand why Noah didn't want to share his phone?!?!

Great-Grandma & (some) grand kids

Great-Grandma & Makayla....absolutely adorable!

When we finally got home, Daddy & Kaleb could hardly wait for a litte "man time" :)

He's Mobile :)

We've got ourselves a mover & a shaker-

Last week while my brother and sister-in-law were babysitting the little guy, they brought out our nephew's truck that doubles as a "walk behind" (for lack of the technical term). Kaleb hadn't had much interest in walking with me or Joe when we would hold him up- but he took the the "walk behind" truck immediately! We had to help him for about two days and now he's off and "truckin!"

I can't believe how fast he's growing up...it's hard to believe he's almost ten months old!!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Letko Family Blog!

Upon the arrival of our first child, I have become somewhat of a photo-haulic....Joe keeps threatening to take the camera away from me, luckily he hasn't been fast enough to catch me yet :)! This blog will just be another outlet for family & friends to keep up to date on what Kaleb's up to (because let's face it, once you have a kid that is all anybody cares about!!).

Below are a few pictures from our trip up to Gooseberry Falls last Thursday- it was a beautiful (but HOT) morning...a great way to celebrate our 4 year anniversary!

ENJOY!
